We are often asked why or when permits are needed. Permitting is not done to generate revenue. The fees cover the administrative, review and inspection costs. There are multiple types of permits: building, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing and electrical permits as well as zoning, sidewalk, patio, and driveway. Inspections are done to ensure the quality of work and safety for you, your neighbors, and your home investment. Permits are also required for dumpsters. Click here for permit applications.
