CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

The Spring City Christmas Tree Lighting will be December 6, 2014. The event will include trolley rides, pictures with Santa, music and refreshments. Please bring non-perishable food products for the Spring City Pantry. The tree is located at New and Main Streets. Special thanks to the Spring City Hotel, Coventry Property Services and The Liberty Fire Company.

LEAF VACUUM COLLECTION PROGRAM

The 2014 Leaf-Vacuum Collection Program will run from Tuesday, October 7 through Friday, December 5. Days and times will vary with each neighborhood. Collections will start on the southern side of town and work towards the northern edge. All streets will be collected once per week.

Raked leaf piles should be under four feet in length and two feet high. For more details read thecomplete notice.


CHESTER COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE AND E-WASTE PICKUP

SPRING CITY WASTEWATER TREATMENT BULLETIN
Working with the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), the Borough has found trace amount of PCB's in its wastewater treatment plant discharge water (effluent). This is not an uncommon occurrence in wastewater, but noteworthy and, as such, the Borough is obligated to find its source within the Borough and work towards minimizing or eliminating it.
